Farrow will work with Pineapple Street Studios, a division of Radio.com, to bring the podcast—called The Catch and Kill Podcast With Ronan Farrow—to life. It is expected to drop in November.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Ronan on this truly important project,” said Max Linsky, co-head of Pineapple Street Studios, in a statement. “This is the exact kind of show we want to be making and the type of podcast that can bring new audiences to the medium.”
In his book, Farrow details the process behind reporting on sexual harassment allegations in the entertainment and media industries. Specifically, Farrow claimed that NBC killed his story on Harvey Weinstein to protect Matt Lauer. Since its publication, NBC came back swinging at the claims Farrow made, claiming that the allegations were a “conspiracy theory.”
The podcast will take that reporting to the next level and give additional details on his reporting and additional context around what he heard from sources for the book.
An episode from the podcast already aired on The New Yorker Radio Hour and included Farrow talking with Igor Ostrovskiy, who was initially hired to track his reporting process and eventually became a source.
“Catch and Kill is full of incredibly compelling men and women and this podcast will give you the opportunity to hear their voices directly, in intimate, candid conversations with me,” Farrow said in a statement. “We’ll provide a deeper understanding of the plot that unravels in the book and feature brand new details and pieces of evidence directly from the investigation.”
Programming from Radio.com is available on its mobile app and website and on devices including Amazon Echo, Roku, Google Home and Android Auto. Radio.com is an Entercom company.
