When the winner of Super Bowl LIV is crowned and confetti rains from the sky, if you see people picking up that confetti and reading it, here’s why.
Twitter is teaming up with the National Football League to print tweets from Twitter Sports’ Top Tweets campaign on the confetti that will be dropped on Hard Rock Stadium following the final gun.
Fans can include the #NFLTwitter hashtag on their tweets for a chance to have them featured.
Twitter head of North American consumer marketing Robin Tilotta said in an email, “NFL fans and their fire tweets were an undeniable force this season, which is what led us to build out a program completely dedicated to them. By putting fan tweets directly on the confetti that will rain down on the winners of Super Bowl LIV, we’re showcasing the power of a single tweet and reinforcing our marketing strategy that puts everyday voices first.”
